REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
DANGER Risk of death  cased by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin or eyes caused by hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing hydraulic fluid. Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. AS00.00-Z-0013-01A
IMPORTANT Notes on active body control suspension Models 215, 220, 230 AH32.50-P-0001-01N 
1 Remove fender liner in left rear fender   AR88.10-P-1400R
2 Relieve pressure in ABC system   AR32.50-P-0001-01N 
3 Detach retaining clip (1) of pressure lines    
4 Unscrew nut (2) and pull carrier plate out of guide (3) IMPORTANT Place carrier plate on transmission jack.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA32.50-P-1016-01A 
5 Unscrew pressure line to left rear suspension strut (FB1) and pressure line to right rear suspension strut (FB2) from rear suspension ABC valve body (Y36/2) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA32.50-P-1002-01A 
NOTES Notes on fitting hydraulic lines and hoses Models 215, 220, 230 AH32.50-P-0001-02A 
6 Unscrew pressure line to rear axle pressure reservoir (SP) and pressure line from tandem pump (P) from rear suspension ABC valve body (Y36/2) NOTES Wait at least 15 minutes after switching off the engine before disconnecting the pressure line from the tandem pump (P) and from the rear suspension pressure reservoir (SP) to allow the ABC system to depressurize completely.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA32.50-P-1002-01A 
7 Disconnect line to expansion reservoir (T) from ABC rear axle valve unit (Y36/2) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA32.50-P-1002-01A 
8 Disconnect wiring plugs (53d) and wiring plugs (53e) from the ABC rear suspension valve body (Y36/2) IMPORTANTInstallation:  The wiring plugs and the connections on the rear suspension ABC valve body (Y36/2) are color-coded, ensure that they are reconnected in the correct locations.  
9 Disconnect the rear suspension ABC valve body (Y36/2) from its mounting bracket TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA32.50-P-1006-01A 
10 Install in the reverse order    
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns when working in engine during starting procedure Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.
