17.7.07 Permitted difference between right and left side of vehicle for rear-axle toe.   *BE40.20-P-1005-10L

1 Perform wheel alignment check; compare result with test values IMPORTANT If substantial deviations in the total toe are found, the cause may be one of the following:
  • Too great a difference in vehicle level between right and left-hand sides of vehicle.
  • Deformation of the tie rod (1).
  • Deformation of rear axle carrier, e.g. through accident damage.
  • Deformation of the body, e.g. due to accident damage.

Check for impermissible deformation on body. See: ↓		 AR40.20-P-0200GZ

  Adjust toe     
2 Loosen nut (3) IMPORTANT Only if the measurements are outside the tolerance.  
3 Adjust toe via cam bolt (4) and eccentric disk (2) IMPORTANT Only if the measurements are outside the tolerance.  
4 Tighten nut (3) IMPORTANT Only if the measurements are outside the tolerance.

5 Perform wheel alignment check IMPORTANT Only if the toe was adjusted. AR40.20-P-0200GZ
