Remove compressor, install - AR32.22-P-2001GZ: Notes

MODEL 164 with CODE (489) AIRmatic (air suspension with level adjustment and adaptive damping system ADS)

	Remove/install
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

1	Switch off ignition
2	Raise vehicle using vehicle lift until the wheels are clear of the ground		AR00.60-P-1000GZ
3	Remove front section of fender liner in right front fender		AR88.10-P-1310GZ
4	Release clip (1) and detach intake hose (2)
5	Disconnect electrical connectors (3)
6	Detach pressure line (4) from AIRmatic compressor unit (A9/1)	The complete wheels must not be on the ground. The air springs can otherwise be damaged and fail later. Seal connections with blind plugs. Installation:  Check pressure line (4) and pressure line connections for damage, if necessary: ↓

9	Replace AIRmatic relay	When replacing AIRmatic compressor unit (A9/1)

10	Install in the reverse order
11	Fill AIRmatic using STAR DIAGNOSIS	Fill AIRmatic correctly; the complete wheels must not be touching the ground. The air springs can otherwise be damaged and fail later.	AD00.00-P-2000-04A
12	Check AIRmatic for leaks.		AR32.22-P-8100GZ
