Parking brake cable removal and installation - AR42.20-P-0545GG

MODEL 460, 461, 463 (except 463.270 /271)

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1.1 Remove cover from parking brake lever (5) Model 463.202 /222 /236 /237 /243 /244 /245 /246 /247 /248 /249 /250 /254 /303 /309 /322 /323 /332 /333 /340 /341 AR68.20-P-2311-01AA

1.2 Pull back cover over parking brake lever (5) Model 460, 461 except model 461.302 /304 /305 /331 /332 /333 /334 /340 /342 /343 /344 /345 /346, Model 463.306 /336 /346  
1.3 Remove center console Model 463.200 /204 /206 /207 /208 /209 /220 /221 /224 /225 /227 /228 /230 /231 /232 /233 /240 /241 /300 /304 /307 /308 /320 /321 /324 /325 /327 /328 /330 /331 AR68.20-P-2000A
1.4 Remove the trim from the left side of the console Model 461.302 /304/ 305/ 331/ 332 /333 /334 /340 /342 /343 /344 /345 /346  
2 Unscrew the adjustment nuts (38)    
3.1 Remove brake shoes at rear axle. Vehicles with drum brakes AR42.10-P-0165GG 
3.2 Remove parking brake shoes Vehicles with disk brakes AR42.20-P-0530B 
4 Detach parking brake cable (2) from carrier plate (1) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA42.20-P-1002-01B 
5 Remove clamps (a) from the trailing arms    
6 Detach clamps (11) of parking brake cables (2) from vehicle floor IMPORTANTInstallation:  Coat a preservation material on the threaded bolts.  
Wax preservation for vehicle bottom sides (1 l container) *BR00.45-Z-1002-05A 
7 Pull parking brake cables (2) out of rubber grommet (3) on vehicle floor IMPORTANTInstallation:  Coat with soapy water.  
8 Pull parking brake cables (2) out of brackets (4) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Pay attention to different lengths of parking brake cables (2).
INSPECTInstallation:  Check parking brake cables (2) for damage and ease of movement before reinstallation, replace if necessary.		  
9 Install in the reverse order    
INSPECT Checking     
10 Check parking brake adjustment, adjust if necessary Vehicles with drum brakes at the rear axle AR42.20-P-0540GG 
Vehicles with disk brakes at the rear axle AR42.20-P-0540GI
