		On model 204, 207, 212 two different versions of upper hinges (13) can be installed. If an eccentric hinge leaf (11) is installed on the front door (1), the preliminary work required for reaching nuts (14) on the upper hinge (13) is eliminated. The eccentric (20) is located on the top side (arrow) of the eccentric hinge leaf (11).

2	Remove left or right trim (3)	Completely depress parking brake pedal (7) toward front to remove paneling (3) on driver side.
3	Expose nuts (5)	EC On model 204, 207 it is necessary to detach the insulation mat (4). On model 212, 218 a cap must be removed.
4	Remove dashboard cover (6).	When adjusting driver side front door (1), if a standard hinge leaf (10) is installed.
5	Remove parking brake cover (8).	When adjusting driver side front door (1), if a standard hinge leaf (10) is installed.
6	Remove glove box	When adjusting passenger side front door (1), if a standard hinge leaf (10) is installed.

7	Unscrew bolts (9) and remove fresh air/recirculated air flap actuator motor (M2/5)	When adjusting passenger side front door (1), if a standard hinge leaf (10) is installed. Do not disconnect electrical connector (27).
8	Remove locking eye (2)	Mark installation position of lock striker (2) to facilitate installation.

9	Loosen bolts on lower hinge (12) on outside of A-pillar	Model 207
10	Loosen bolts on upper hinge (13) on outside A-pillar	Model 207, if a standard hinge leaf (10) is installed.
11	Loosen nuts (5) on bottom hinge (12) from A-pillar.
12.1	Loosen nuts (14) on top hinge (13) from A-pillar and adjust corresponding gap dimensions by moving front door (1). Then tighten nuts (14).	If a standard hinge leaf (10) is installed. On model 204 a connection piece 3/8 to 1/2 (15) and a socket wrench (16) with a length of 77 mm and key width of 13 mm is required to tighten nuts (14) A corresponding extension (17) is required additionally at the driver side. 19	Adjust transition (B) between front door (1) and rear door (26) by moving lock striker (2).	The contour of the front door (1) must be flush with the contour of the rear door (26) or project by a maximum of 1 mm.
