1	Buffer basic data of radio (A2) or radio with auto pilot system (A2/56) or COMAND control unit (A40/3) in Star Diagnosis	When replacing radio (A2) or radio with auto pilot system (A2/56) or COMAND control unit (A40/3). Installation:  Transfer buffered basic data to new radio (A2) or new radio with auto pilot system (A2/56) or new COMAND control unit (A40/3).

5.1	Remove bolts (2)	Model 204.0/2 as of 1.3.2011, model 204.3 Remove screws/bolts (2) up to end stop.
5.2	Manually slide both locks (3) located on instrument panel (4) all the way up in direction of arrow	Model 204.0/2 up to 28.2.2011 The locks (3) are located in the radio recess at the rear of the instrument panel (4).
6	Pull radio (A2) or radio with auto pilot system (A2/56) or COMAND controller unit (A40/3) out of instrument panel (4) with extraction hooks (7) until electrical connector (6) at upper control panel control unit (N72/1) is accessible	Model 204.0/2 up to 28.2.2011 With code (220) Parktronic system (PTS) or with code (430) Off-road package or with code (483) ADVANCED AGILITY package or with code (540) Power roller blind for rear window or with code (873) Seat heater for left and right front seat) Insert extraction hooks (7) through openings (arrow A), push towards rear and turn so that front of hooks points downwards. 8	Pull radio (A2) or radio with auto pilot system (A2/56) or COMAND controller unit (A40/3) out of instrument panel (4) with extraction hooks (7) until electrical connectors or fiber optic cable connector are accessible at back side	Model 204.0/2 up to 28.2.2011 Insert extraction hooks (7) through openings (arrow A), push towards rear and turn so that front of hooks points downwards. 9	Disconnect electrical connectors and fiber optic cable connector at back side of radio (A2) or radio with auto pilot system (A2/56) or COMAND controller unit (A40/3)

10	Remove screws/bolts (arrows C) and remove cover (5) or upper control panel control unit (N72/1)	Only when replacing radio (A2) or radio with auto pilot system (A2/56) or COMAND controller unit (A40/3). With model 204.9, ensure that cover (8) is not damaged when removing screws/bolts (arrows C), otherwise it must be replaced. Depending on the vehicle equipment, the cover (5) or the upper control panel control unit (N72/1) is installed
