Remove/install front glass cover - AR77.21-P-7010CW

  Preparation     
NOTES Notes on removal/installation of windows   AH67.10-P-1000-02RT
1 Prepare 1-component adhesive cartridge   AR67.10-P-1000-12SX
    SPECIAL TOOL Intermediate piece
Cartridge preheater (not regulated),

REMOVING Removing     
2.1 Unclip left and right water deflector (2) from roof paneling and remove Unclip left and right water deflector (2) from roof paneling and remove  
2.2 Remove left and right front water deflector (2) Model 204.2 AR88.85-P-2100CX
    Model 204.9 AR88.85-P-2100CY
3 Remove front sealing strip (4) Model 204  
4 Determine gap dimension (A) between front glass cover (1) and windshield (6) and note Feeler gauge SPECIAL TOOL Figure
5 Determine gap dimension (A) between front glass cover (1) and front glass roof (3) and note SPECIAL TOOL Feeler gauge Figure
6 Completely open front glass roof (3)    
7 Unhook wind deflector (5) at rear left and right mount (arrow D) and lay down toward rear    
DANGER Risk of injury  due to tear or warming up of cutting wire and through glass splinters when cutting out glued windows Wear protective gloves and safety glasses. AS67.00-Z-0004-01A
8 Cut out front glass cover (1) with cutting wire and remove from panoramic roof frame (7) IMPORTANT Aid of helper required.  
    "Veritrac" window removal tool, cutting wire

INSTALLING Install     
9 Prepare front glass cover (1) for glazing NOTES The bonding surfaces on the inside of the front glass cover (1) must be free of dust, oil, grease, wax, dirt residues and other adhesive components. Otherwise the strength of the glued connections is impaired.

10 Prepare panoramic roof frame (7) for installation of front glass cover (1) NOTES Do not touch present adhesive beads or bonding surfaces on panoramic roof frame (7) with bare fingers, because the bonding surfaces and adhesive beads must be free of dust, oil, grease, wax, dirt residues and other adhesive constituents. Otherwise the strength of the glued connections is impaired.

11 Apply adhesive material to front glass cover (1). NOTES The bonding surfaces on the inside of the front glass cover (1) must be free of dust, oil, grease, wax, dirt residues and other adhesive components. Otherwise the strength of the glued connections is impaired.

12 Glaze front glass cover (1) NOTES Use weights with large surfaces such as sandbags to put load on front glass cover (1). Otherwise the front glass cover (1) can be damaged.
IMPORTANT Observe gap dimensions (A, B) and transitions (C). The front glass cover (1) must be flush on the left and right with the front glass roof (3)

13 Remove feeler gauges and install front sealing strip (4) NOTES Remove feeler gauges only after adhesive material has cured. Otherwise the gap dimensions (A, B) can change.

15 Hook wind deflector (5) into left and right rear mount (arrow D)    
16 Close front glass roof (3).
