Function description for theft protection and locking, general 

The theft protection and locking function description comprises the following functions, described in separate documents:

CL [ZV], function 

The CL[ZV] actuates the electrical locking/unlocking function of the vehicle doors, trunk lid (model 204.0/3) or liftgate (model 204.2/9) and fuel filler flap.

Rear door remote actuation, function (on model 204.2/9 with code (890) EASY-PACK liftgate) 

The liftgate can be opened and closed automatically via the rear-end door actuation feature.

KG, function (with code (889) Keyless Go) 

With the convenience function it is possible to lock/unlock, start and shut off the vehicle without key, without inserting the transmitter key (A8/1) into the electronic ignition lock control unit (N73). It is sufficient to just carry the transmitter key

IMPORTANT Operation of the CL via the transmitter key remains possible parallel to the KG functions.

DAS 3 [FBS 3], function 

The DAS 3 allows the ignition to be switched on and the engine to be started. DAS 3 is a compound system consisting of control units, each of which calculate and compare the drive authorization code independently. If the check in question is valid, each component is released automatically.

CF [KFB], function 

The side windows can be opened and closed centrally with the CF, the tilting/sliding roof (with code (414) Electric glass tilting/sliding roof) or panoramic sliding roof (with code (413) Panoramic glass sunroof wit top sliding sunroof with the transmitter key and the air recirculation mode (N22/7s2).

ATA function (with code (551) Anti-theft alarm system (ATA)) 

The ATA monitors all relevant inputs after locking the vehicle with the CL. If a change of status is detected at one of the monitored inputs, an acoustic and visual alarm is given.
