	Checking
1.1	Remove bottom engine compartment paneling	Vehicles with gasoline engine	AR61.20-P-1105TX
1.2	Remove bottom sections of soundproofing capsule	Vehicles with diesel engines	AR94.30-P-5300TX
2	Check bellows (11)	Never check bellows by pressing in or around raised bead as this will damage bellows and eventually cause leaks. Perfect sealing of the bellows is absolutely vital for correct functioning of the rack-and- pinion steering, so perform the visual inspection as follows: Raise vehicle at front axle. Extend the bellows by turning the steering onto left wheel lock or right wheel lock and check for damage (cracks, chafing marks and intrusions) in the process, install new bellows if necessary.
	Remove/install
3	Remove track rod (10)		AR46.40-P-0200TX
4	Unscrew lock nut (10f)
5	Detach outer clamp (11b)
6	Detach inner clamp (11a)		AR46.40-P-0400-01TX
7	Pull off bellows (11)	Installation with boot with diaphragm valve:  Push the boot onto the steering gear housing and position.	AR46.40-P-0400-02CW
8	Install new O-ring (23k).
9	Check steering rack and inner tie rod thrust joint for corrosion and play	If the rack is already corroded and the steering has a leak as a result, it is then necessary to replace the complete rack-and-pinion steering:
		Replace rack-and-pinion steering. If the ball joint is worn, replace the inside track rod:	AR46.20-P-0600TX
		Install new inner tie rod with axial joint.	AR46.40-P-0201TX
10	Install in the reverse order
