| 2 | Remove expanding clip (1) from the left trunk lining (2) or right trunk lining (3) | ||
| 3 | Unclip hinge lever opening frame (4) from the left trunk lining (2) or right trunk lining (3) and remove | ||
| 4.1 | Detach luggage net (5) from right trunk lining (3) (arrow) | When removing right taillamp (E4). | |
| 5.1 | Detach air reservoir (6) and lay to the side as far as possible until all nuts (7) are accessible | When removing the right taillamp (E4) on vehicles with Code (489) Airmatic (semi-active air suspension) |

| 6.1 | Unscrew nuts (7), unplug electrical connector (8) and remove right taillamp (E4) | When removing right taillamp (E4). | |
| 7.1 | Press multicontour seat pneumatic pump (M40) aside until all nuts (9) are accessible | When removing left taillamp (E3) on vehicles with Code (433) Left dynamic seat, incl. multicontour seat or Code (434) Right dynamic seat, incl. multicontour seat | |
| 8.1 | Unscrew nuts (9), unplug electrical connector (10) and remove left taillamp (E3) | When removing left taillamp (E3). | |
