Remove/install dashboard - AR68.10-P-1000SC

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Completely open both rear side windows downward    
2 Remove left and right inner A-pillar paneling    
3 Remove steering column tube module   AR54.25-P-2802SX
4 Remove instrument cluster   AR54.30-P-6015SX
5 Remove COMMAND display   AR82.85-P-7429SX
6 Remove cover below dashboard on left   AR68.10-P-1500SX 
7 Remove cover below dashboard on right   AR68.10-P-1520SX 
8 Unscrew bolt (2) and unclip dashboard bottom section (3) SPECIAL TOOL Fig 3
9 Remove COMMAND controller unit   AR82.85-P-1100SC
10 Unclip left and right cover (4) SPECIAL TOOL Fig 3
11 Unscrew bolts (5) on both sides of dashboard (1)    
12 Lay right dashboard fuse box (F1/6) and left dashboard fuse box (F1/7) into footwells with electrical lines connected    
13 Open glove compartment, unclip cover above nut (8) and unscrew nut (8) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA91.60-P-1010-01L 
14 Remove driver-side footwell ventilation air duct (9)    
15 Unscrew bolt (10)    
16 Remove bolt (11)    
17 Separate the electrical connector at the cockpit center speaker (Centerfill) (H4/27)    
18 Disconnect electrical connectors from EIS control module (N73)    
19 Unclip in-car temperature sensor (B10/4) from dashboard (1) and leave connected to electrical lines    
20 Disconnect electrical connector from electric parking brake switch (S76/15) and rotary light switch (S1)    
21 Disconnect glove compartment lamp connector (X29/1)    
22 Disconnect electrical connector from left side air outlet potentiometer and right side air outlet potentiometer IMPORTANT The electrical connector is located directly on the side air outlet (17).  
23 Remove trim strip illumination wiring harness (12) from electric wiring harness (13) On vehicles with code (876) Interior lights package  
24 Loosen center console (7) and pull approx. 2 to 3 cm toward rear. Disconnect arrest on center console (7) from dashboard (1) (arrows C) IMPORTANT Do not disconnect electrical connectors from components located in the center console (7). Center console (7) remains in vehicle. AR68.20-P-2000SC 
25 Disconnect electrical connectors from front passenger airbag squib 1 and front passenger airbag squib 2    
26 Press dashboard (1) upward in area of glove compartment and simultaneously toward front so that the front passenger airbag catch hook (14) is positioned above lugs (15) IMPORTANTInstallation:  When aligning the dashboard (1) ensure that the front passenger airbag catch hook (14) is seated precisely in front of the lug (15) on the crossmember (arrow B).  
27 Remove dashboard (1) from crossmember with aid of helper and remove from vehicle NOTES Align steering column tube boot (16) to prevent damaging the steering column tube boot (16) when removing and positioning the dashboard (1).  
28 Install in the reverse order
