	Remove/install
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of injury caused by moving parts that can pinch, crush or  , in extreme cases even sever  extremities.	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating range of the mechanism when components are in motion.	AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
Installation	Tighten nuts and bolts of chassis components only when vehicle is in the ready-to-drive condition.
1	Remove air filter housing with intake air ducts	Pull air filter housing vertically upwards off the rubber retainers on the cylinder head covers. Installation:  Rub the rubber retainers on the cylinder head covers and the sealing ring of the hot film mass air flow sensor in the air filter housing with liquid lubricant.

3	Remove the front wheels
	Remove and install wheels		AP40.10-P-4050Z
4	Remove bottom engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105R
5	Remove front diagonal braces	Installation:  The bolts on the diagonal struts may only be tightened when the vehicle is resting with its wheels on the ground.

6	Unscrew bolts (1) of front engine mounts		*BA22.10-P-1001-01X
7	Support front axle carrier with transmission jack and transmission platform	Transmission jack	*WE58.40-Z-1030-11A

8	Unscrew bolts (2) of front axle carrier and lower front axle carrier slightly	Do not damage the refrigerant line (arrow) and avoid crimping lines and hoses. Do not subject steering coupling to tensile loads otherwise it will be damaged.

9	Unscrew nuts (3) of link rods (5) from stabilizer bar and remove link rods (5)	Check ball joints and rubber boots of link rods for damage, replace link rods if necessary.

10	Unscrew bolts (4) of stabilizer bar and remove stabilizer bar	The rubber mounts are molded onto the torsion bar. If they are damaged or worn, replace the torsion bar.

11	Install in the reverse order
12	Perform chassis alignment		AR40.20-P-0200R
