Remove/install antenna amplifier module - AR82.62-P-8300RA

Rear window antenna amplifier module

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
DANGER Risk of injury caused by moving parts that can pinch, crush or  , in extreme cases even sever  extremities. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating range of the mechanism when components are in motion. AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by body parts being trapped  or crushed  when working on partially open Vario roof (stop mode) or in its closing area as a result of the Vario roof suddenly collapsing Use a suitable tool to secure Vario roof. AS77.50-Z-0001-01A
NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1 Remove left side paneling in trunk   AR68.30-P-4800R
2 Expose left rear window wiring harness (1) in luggage compartment NOTES Always mark installation position of electrical and hydraulic lines that are to be removed, as incorrectly routed lines can become damaged during Vario roof movement.
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Install new tie straps.
 
3 Detach bottom rear window ground line (2) from ground (left wheelhouse in luggage compartment) (W6) IMPORTANT Reattach remaining ground lines.  
4 Disconnect electrical connector (3) from rear shelf antenna amplifier (A2/67)    
5 Lock trunk lid in trunk lid lock    
6 Completely open Vario roof    
7 Remove paneling from top left of center pillar   AR68.30-P-1077R
8 Remove retaining plate for power window from left rear side window IMPORTANT Mark installation position. AR67.39-P-4150-01R
9 Remove screw (4) and remove rear line bracket (5)    
10 Remove screw (6) and bend open front line bracket (7) wide enough for the left rear window wiring harness (1) to be removed    
11 Expose left rear window wiring harness (1) on main bearing (8) and pull out of trunk IMPORTANTInstallation:  Note installation marks and replace cable ties.  
12 Move Vario roof to intermediate position and secure. NOTES Ensure that during the Vario roof motion, no hydraulic or electric lines are pinched and damaged. AR77.50-P-3000-01R

13 Remove paneling from Vario roof rear section   AR68.30-P-4380R
14 Remove C-pillar paneling from Vario roof   AR68.30-P-4500R
15 Detach threaded connection for line bracket (9) and remove left rear window wiring harness (1) from line bracket (9)    
16 Pull left rear window wiring harness (1) upward and out through left C-pillar upper section (10) IMPORTANT To do this, unclip rubber fixing out of left C-pillar upper section (10).
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Observe installation markings.
 
17 Detach threaded connection for line bracket (12) and remove top rear window ground line (13) out of line bracket (12)    
18 Disconnect electrical connector (14) from heated rear window (R1)    
19 Press rubber element (15) to rear out of rear window mount (16) using a suitable punch IMPORTANTInstallation:  Install new retaining clip (17) with cable tie.
Press rubber element (15) into rear window mount (16) with the aid of liquid lubricant.
 
    Antifriction agent *BR00.45-Z-1010-06A 
20 Disconnect electrical connector (18) from rear window antenna amplifier module (A2/12)    
21 Remove screw (19) and remove rear window antenna amplifier module (A2/12) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Route antenna line (20) in cable duct (21) and secure in area of screw (22) using a suitable sealant (23).  
22 Install in the reverse order
