Remove/install crank window in front door - AR72.10-P-1900T

MODEL 211.0/2/6

REMOVING Remove    
DANGER Risk of injury  due to hands being crushed when window glass is not secure Secure window to prevent it from falling down. AS67.00-Z-0002-01A
1 Remove inner sealing rail   AR72.10-P-1600T 
2 Remove front door power window switch group   AR72.29-P-0110T 
3 Remove door foil (2) from front door IMPORTANT Only remove door foil (2) until access cover in inner door panel is accessible. Secure detached door foil section (2) against folding down with strips of adhesive tape (7). AR72.10-P-1010T 
4 Create contacts for switch of power window at front door control unit    
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A
5 Attach ground line to the vehicle electrical system battery

6 Move front crank window (1) to assembly position IMPORTANT Until bolts (3, 5) are accessible.  
7 Loosen bolts (3) from rear window mount (4) IMPORTANT Do not unscrew bolt (3) completely  
8 Loosen bolt (5) on front window mount (6) IMPORTANT Do not unscrew bolt (5) completely  
9 Raise front crank window (1) at rear and remove upward out of the door    
INSTALLING Install     
10 Insert front crank window (1) into shaft IMPORTANT Front crank window (1) should make contact on the front window mount (6) and rear window mount (4) and must be installed in both window guide rails.  
11 Tighten bolt (5) on front window mount (6) IMPORTANT Tighten bolt (5) so that front crank window (1) can still be moved  
12 Tighten bolt (3) on rear window mount (4) IMPORTANT Tighten bolt (3) so that front crank window (1) can still be moved  
13 Install inner sealing rail IMPORTANT Do not install door lining. AR72.10-P-1600T 
14 Move front crank window (1) upward to stop IMPORTANT Thereby, fastening front crank window (1)  
15 Move front crank window (1) to assembly position IMPORTANT Until bolts (3, 5) are accessible.  
16 Tighten bolts (3, 5). TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA72.10-P-1009-01AB 
17 Completely move front crank window (1) downward

18 Detach ground line at the vehicle electrical system battery

19 Disconnect switch of power window at front door control unit    
20 Install door foil (2) on front door   AR72.10-P-1010T 
21 Install front door power window switch group   AR72.29-P-0110T 
22 Perform function check
