Remove/install tilting/sliding roof panel - AR77.20-P-1000T

MODEL 211.0/2, 240.0 with CODE (414) Power glass tilting/sliding roof 

MODEL 240.1 with CODE (418) Glass tilting/sliding roof in rear

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, tailgates or sliding roof. Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1 Completely open sliding roof lining (1) IMPORTANT See Operator's Manual  
2 Open tilting/sliding roof approx. 20 cm IMPORTANT See Operator's Manual  
3 Unclip covering (2) in center and at side with assembly wedge (6), move covering (2) out of rubber bellows (4). SPECIAL TOOL
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Position covering (2) in center and clip in. Left and right catch hook on covering (2) must arrest in rubber bellows (4).

4 Move tilting/sliding roof cover (3) into tilt position IMPORTANT See Operator's Manual  
5 Remove rubber bellows (4) at top and bottom on both sides and remove. NOTES Treat rubber bellows (4) carefully to prevent damage.
IMPORTANT Observe installation position of rubber bellows (4).
 
6 Turn out screws (5) on both sides IMPORTANTInstallation:  Adjust tilting/sliding roof panel (3) See ↓
Adjust tilting/sliding roof panel (3).
AR77.20-P-1100T 
7 Remove tilting/sliding roof panel (3) NOTES Remove tilting/sliding roof panel (3) carefully, otherwise paint can be damaged.  
8 Install in the reverse order    
9 Perform teach-in run for sliding roof anti-pinch protection    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
