Adjust tilting/sliding roof panel - AR77.20-P-1100T

MODEL 211.e/2 with CODE (414) Power glass tilting/sliding roof 

MODEL 24e.1 with CODE (418) Glass tilting/sliding roof in rear

REMOVING Removing    
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, liftgates or sliding roof Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1 Completely open sliding roof lining (1) IMPORTANT See Operator's Manual  
2 Open tilting/sliding roof approx. 20 cm IMPORTANT See Operator's Manual  
3 Unclip covering (2) in center and side with assembly wedge and guide covering (2) out of left and right rubber bellows (4) SPECIAL TOOL Figure
4 Completely close tilting/sliding roof and then move to tilt position IMPORTANT See Operator's Manual  
5 Remove both rubber bellows (4) at top and bottom and remove NOTES Treat rubber bellows (4) carefully to prevent damage.
IMPORTANT Observe installation position of rubber bellows (4).
 
6 Close tilting/sliding roof IMPORTANT See Operator's Manual  
  Adjust     
7 Loosen bolts (5) on left and right on tilting/sliding roof panel (3)    
8 Insert cardboard strips (6) at rear into expansion joint for tilting/sliding roof panel (3) IMPORTANT Cardboard strip (6): Approx. 500 mm long and approx. 2 mm thick.  
9 Adjust tilting/sliding roof panel (3) in relation to exterior roof surface IMPORTANT When adjusting height: Determine measuring positions (crosses) using interval (A).
Gap dimensions

10 Tighten left and right bolts (5) on tilting/sliding roof panel (3) IMPORTANT Tighten bolts (5) from rear to front.
TORQUE SPECIFICATION
*BA77.20-P-1004-01A 
11 Check tilting/sliding roof for proper function and fit    
INSTALLING Install     
12 Move tilting/sliding roof to pop-up position IMPORTANT See Operator's Manual  
13 Insert both rubber bellows (4) at top and bottom into guides IMPORTANT Observe correct installation position.  
14 Close tilting/sliding roof IMPORTANT See Operator's Manual  
15 Open tilting/sliding roof approx. 20 cm IMPORTANT See Operator's Manual  
16 Position covering (2) in center and clip in IMPORTANT Left and right catch hook on covering (2) must arrest in both rubber bellows (4).  
17 Close tilting/sliding roof IMPORTANT See Operator's Manual  
18 Close sliding roof lining (1). IMPORTANT See Operator's Manual  
19 Perform teach-in run for sliding roof anti-pinch protection    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
