Function requirements
- No overvoltage or undervoltage
- All doors closed (status: locked)
- Transmitter key (A8/1) in position "0" or removed and
- "Lock" button on transmitter key (A8/1) pressed and held
Function
The transmitter key (A8/1) transmits an infrared signal to the left front IR Receiver unit (A26/1) or right front IR receiver unit (A26/2) (vehicles with code (494) USA version or code (498) Japan version). The overhead control panel control unit (N70) receives the comfort closing request via the interior CAN and then actuates the panoramic sliding roof motor (M12/6m1) in the rotation direction "Close panoramic sliding roof".
The motor is actuated for as long as the "Lock" button on the transmitter key (A8/1) is pressed.
The "Comfort closing" function via the right front IR receiver unit (A26/2) is only valid in

Function interrupted if
- the request is no longer received via interior CAN.
- the function requirements listed above are no longer satisfied.
The windows, sliding headliner and panorama sliding roof are closed with the convenience closing function.
