Function prerequisites 

• No overvoltage or undervoltage
• All doors closed (status: locked)
• Terminal 15 OFF
• Press "Lock" button of remote control key (A8/1) for longer than 1 s and hold down and aim remote control key (A8/1) to left front IR receiver (A26/1) or right front IR receiver (A26/2).

The function prerequisite "Convenience closing" via the right front IR receiver (A26/2) is only valid in and .

Function 

The overhead control panel control module (N70) receives the request for convenience closing via interior compartment CAN bus and then actuates the SR motor (M12m1) in the "Close sliding roof" direction. The SR motor (M12m1) is actuated as long as the "lock" button of the remote control key (A8/1) is pressed.

Function interruption 

• The request is not longer received
• The function requirements listed above are no longer satisfied.

The convenience closing function also closes the windows.
