Function 

The overhead control panel control module (N70) receives voltage pulses from the two Hall sensors located on the SR motor (M12m1) and evaluates these for the purpose of position measurement.

When the Hall sensor pulses are not present for longer than approx. 0.2 in spite of actuation of the SR motor (M12m1), the SR motor (M12m1) is switched off.

In addition, a mechanical thermostat safety switch on the SR motor (M12m1) protects it against overload. In the event of failure of the Hall sensors, the roof can still be closed in increments of approx. 0.2 with the roof system switch (N70s1) or with the emergency crank.
