Repair method completely modified

Work steps 1 through 14

	Removing
1	Remove trim strip on instrument panel		AR68.10-P-1180T
	Risk of fire and explosion caused by machining/treating magnesium components	Keep away from ignition sources and open flames.	AS60.00-Z-0006-01R
2	Remove bolts (4)	The crossmember below the instrument panel, into which bolts (4) are screwed, is made of magnesium alloy.
	Notes on processing magnesium components		AH60.00-P-0023-01R
3	Open drawer (2).
4	Lift catch hook (5) with suitable screwdriver (3) and pull drawer (2) out of drawer (1)
5	Release catch hook (6) on left on drawer (1) with suitable screwdriver (3) slightly pull drawer (1) toward rear with pulling hook.	Ensure that the left catch hook (6) does not relatch

6	Release catch hook (6) on right on drawer (1) with suitable screwdriver (3).	Slightly pull drawer (1) toward rear with pulling hook; ensure that catch hook (6) does not relatch.

7	Slightly lift instrument panel top section (arrow) with assembly wedge and pull out drawer (1).		Figure
8	Release catch hook (7) and remove cover (8) from drawer (2).	Only when replacing drawer (1).
	Install
9	Check position of spring (9).	If applicable, correct position of spring (9).
10	Install drawer (2) in drawer compartment 1),	Ensure that guides (10) are seated correctly in drawer mounts (11) and carefully install drawer (2), otherwise the drawer (2) can no longer be opened.
11	Check drawer (2) for easy motion.	If necessary, repeat installation of drawer (2).
12	Slightly lift instrument panel top section (arrow) with assembly wedge and install drawer (1).	Ensure that drawer is seated correctly in drawer mounts (12). Catch hooks (6) should latch audibly.

13	Screw in screws (4)	The crossmember below the instrument panel into the bolts (4) are screwed, is made of magnesium alloy.
