Remove/install thrust arm - AR35.20-P-0113T

MODIFICATION NOTES

6.10.05 Self-locking bolt, front rear axle carrier rubber mount to frame floor models 211, 230 *BA35.10-P-1001-01E 
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
NOTES Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts   AH00.00-N-0001-01A
NOTES While working on the rear axle care must be taken to ensure that the surface of all aluminum components do not get any scratches, cracks and notches. Otherwise the service life of the parts will be affected    
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Tighten nuts and bolts of chassis components only when vehicle is in the ready-to-drive condition.    
1 Secure vehicle on the lifting platform   AR00.60-P-0100T
2 Remove rear wheel    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary AP40.10-P-4050Z
3 Remove rear part of underfloor paneling (16).   AR61.30-P-1001T
4 Remove bolt (1c) and take off washer (1e). TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA35.10-P-1001-01E 
5 Raise wheel carrier (7) with transmission jack and transmission platform until the rear axle shaft (37) is approximately horizontal COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS *WE58.40-Z-1018-11A 
COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS *WE58.40-Z-1030-11A 
6 Detach thrust arm (5) from wheel carrier (7) INSTALLATION NOTES The rear axle shaft must be approximately horizontal when tightening the bolted connection in order not to not destroy the rubber mounts.  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA35.20-P-1002-05C 
7 Detach thrust arm (5) from rear axle carrier (1). INSTALLATION NOTES The rear axle shaft must be approximately horizontal when tightening the bolted connection in order not to not destroy the rubber mounts.  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA35.20-P-1001-05C 
8 Remove thrust arm cover (5g).    
9 Install in the reverse order    
10 Perform chassis alignment   AR40.20-P-0200T
