Remove/install steering column module - AR54.25-P-2802T

Up to model year 04

MODIFICATION NOTES

25.11.08 Perform initialization of DTR control unit after replacing steering column tube module, added Step 11
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove steering wheel   AR46.10-P-0100T
2 Remove steering column tube switch module (2)   AR54.25-P-2800-01T 
3 Remove clock spring contact   AR46.10-P-0200T
4 Remove steering angle sensor   AR46.10-P-0300T
5 Remove cover (1) and remove cruise control switch (TPM) (S40/4) upwards out of steering column switch module (2) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Ensure that the studs (3) are seated cleanly in the holes, by paying attention to the guides on the cruise control switch (S40/4).  
6 Remove steering column adjustment/steering wheel heater switch (S59/1) upwards out of the steering column tube switch module (2) In vehicles with code (443) Steering wheel heater or with code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirror)
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Ensure that the studs (3) are seated cleanly in the holes, by paying attention to the guides on the steering column adjustment/steering wheel heater switch (S59/1).
 
7 Detach combination switch (S4) from steering column tube switch module (2)    
8 Remove steering column module (N80) upwards out of steering column switch module (2)    
9 Install in the reverse order    
10 Carry out function check    
11 Perform initialization of DTR control unit with STAR DIAGNOSIS After replacing steering column tube module (N80) on vehicles with code (219) Distronic (DTR)
