Emergency lamp actuation is intended to avoid complete failure of the exterior lighting due to a fault, e.g. failure of a processor.
Emergency lamp actuation in the event of failure of the CAN data bus or the driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) or the passenger-side SAM control unit (N10/11)
The following front lamps are actuated when the ignition is switched on "circuit 15 On":
- Left (E1e3) and right (E2e3) standing and parking lamp
- Left (E1e2) and right (E2e2) low beam
Emergency lamp actuation in the event of failure of a processor in the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) or the rear door control unit (N111)
With the ignition switched on "circuit 15 On" the following rear lamps are activated within 3 s:
- Outer left (E3e2) and outer right (E4e2) taillamp, parking lamp and rear fog lamp
Emergency lamp actuation at failure of trailer connection unit [AAG] control unit (N28/1) processor
With the ignition switched on "circuit 15 On" the lighting system of the trailer is activated within 3 s:
