With the Universal Portable CTEL Interface (UPCI) system, all calls are made with the portable CTEL (A34/6) via the hands-free system. The "private mode" is not possible.

The user has several ways of accepting the call: 

• Pressing the "Accept call" button on the respective portable CTEL (A34/6).
• By pressing the accept/terminate phone call button (S111s3) on the multifunction steering wheel (MFL).
• With code (813) Voice control system (VCS [SBS]) by means of voice input or by operating the VCS [SBS] switch (S93/2).
• By pressing the "Accept call" control button on the radio (A2).
• By pressing the "Accept phone call" control button at the radio control panel and navigation unit (A2/56) with code (525) MB Audio 50 APS radio.
• By pressing the "Accept phone call" control button at the COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3) with code (527) COMAND APS (with navigation system).
