Function sequence
If the rotary light switch (S1) is turned to the standing lamp
position, the driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) signals "standing lamp On" via CAN class B to the following control units:
- right SAM control unit (N10/11)
- Rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2)
- Instrument cluster (A1)
Front standing lamp actuation
The driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) actuates the following lamps:
- Left standing and parking lamp (E1e3) in the left front lamp unit (E1)
- Left front side-marker lamp
(E6/1)
- Right front side-marker lamp
(E6/2)
The passenger-side SAM control unit (N10/11) actuates the right standing and parking lamp (E2e3) in the front lamp unit (E2) on the right.
Rear standing lamp actuation (model 211.0)
The rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) actuates the following lamps:
- Outer left taillamp, parking lamp, rear fog lamp (E3e2)
- Inner left taillamp, rear fog lamp (E3e5)
- Left license plate lamp (E19/1)
- Outer right taillamp, parking lamp, rear fog lamp (E4e2)
- Inner right taillamp, rear fog lamp (E4e5)
- Right license plate lamp (E19/2)
Rear standing lamp actuation (model 211.2)
The rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) actuates the following lamps:
- Left stop lamp, taillamp and parking lamp (E3e9)
- Right stop lamp, taillamp and parking lamp (E4e9)
The rear door control unit (N111) actuates the following lamps:
- Left license plate lamp (E19/1)
- Right license plate lamp (E19/2)
If the "Standing lamp On" signal is still active, then a chime is sounded via the instrument cluster (A1) with the transmitter key (A8/1) removed and the driver door open.
For vehicles with code (550) Trailer hitch, the signal "standing lamp On" is transmitted by the driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) to the trailer connection unit [AAG] control unit (N28/1), which applies the signal "standing lamp On" to the trailer hitch socket (13-pin) (X58).
