| 3 | Remove TIREFIT box (2) or spare wheel from spare tire well | ||
| 4 | Unscrew bolts (3) from tool box (4) | ||
| 5 | Unclip tool box (4) using assembly wedge (5) and lift out of spare tire well | *110589035900 | |
| 6 | Remove expansion clips (6) | Door panel release lever | |
| 7 | Fold up trim for spare tire well (7) until the battery control unit (N82) is accessible | ||
| 8 | Connect negative terminal (12) of battery (G1) to ground (circuit 31) using adapter line (13) (arrow) | ||

| 9 | Disconnect ground cable (8) from battery control unit (N82) | ||
| 10 | Unscrew bolt (9) | ||
| 11 | Unscrew bolt (10) | ||
| 12 | Separate electrical connector (11) and remove battery control unit (N82) | ||
| Install | |||
| 13 | Position battery control unit (N82) at installation location and secure with bolt (9) | ||

| 15 | Fit ground line (8) to battery control unit (N82) | *BA54.10-P-1004-01C | |
| 16 | Remove adapter line (13) with alligator clips (14) | *220589009900 | |
| 17 | Connect electrical connector (11) to battery control unit (N82) | ||
| 18 | Remove support from spare tire well and fold down spare tire well trim (7) | ||
| 19 | Install expansion clips (6) | ||
| 20 | Install tool box (4) and secure with bolts (3) | ||
| 21 | Install TIREFIT box (2) or spare wheel | ||
| 22 | Install battery cover (1) | ||
