Removing and installing transmitter/receiver - AR82.70-P-8911R

MODEL 230.4 with CODE (853) MB standard telephone

MODIFICATION NOTES

19.1.06 Disconnect ground line replaced by switch off ignition Step 1  
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
1 Switch off the ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS control unit IMPORTANT On vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go, press the Keyless Go start/stop button repeatedly until the ignition is switched off.
Remove the Keyless Go transmitter card or transmitter key from the vehicle and store beyond the reach of the transmitter (min. 2 m).
 
2 Remove stowage box   AR68.20-P-2320R
3.1 Remove voice control system control unit (A35/11) Only for vehicles with code (813) Voice control system (VCS [SBS]) AR82.70-P-0003R 
4 Remove bolts (1)    
5 Disconnect electrical connectors and fiber optic cable coupling from D2B telephone transmitter/receiver (A35/13) NOTES To avoid damaging them, do not kink fiber optic cables, route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm.
IMPORTANT Cover fiber optic cable coupling and implement connection on D2B telephone transmitter/receiver (A35/13).

6 Remove D2B telephone transmitter/receiver (A35/13)    
7 Install in the reverse order
