	Remove/install
1.1	Remove fuse 6 from fuse box I, rear right wheel well	On vehicles with fire extinguishing system.
	Fuse and relay box, as-built configuration		GF54.15-P-0800SXS
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the vehicle lift.	Align vehicle between the four columns of the vehicle lift and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
2	Jack up vehicle	Position vehicle lift column support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by the automotive manufacturer so that underbody protection plates can be removed from undercarriage.
3	Remove left and right middle underbody protection plates (2)	Secure left and right middle underbody protection plates (2) against falling down. See GOTIS for transmission jack http://gotis.aftersales.mercedes-benz.com	*BA61.40-P-1001-01A
4.1	Disconnect left and right extinguishing agent lines (6) at threaded connections	On vehicles with fire extinguishing system.	*BA86.10-P-1003-01B
5	Remove front left and right underbody protection plates (1)	Secure left and right front underbody protection plates (1) against falling down. See GOTIS for transmission jack http://gotis.aftersales.mercedes-benz.com	*BA61.40-P-1001-01A
6.1	Remove fire extinguishing system components from left and right front underbody protection plate (1)	On vehicles with fire extinguishing system when replacing left and right front underbody protection plate (1).	*BA86.10-P-1004-01B
7.1	Remove left and right distribution blocks (7) on rear underbody protection plate (3) and fasten to undercarriage	On vehicles with fire extinguishing system.
8.1	Remove left and right extinguishing agent nozzle holders (8) on rear underbody protection plate (3) and fasten to undercarriage with wire or cable tie	On vehicles with fire extinguishing system.	*BA86.10-P-1004-01B
9.1	Remove rear fire extinguishing system temperature sensor (B65/1) on rear underbody protection plate (3) together with bracket and fasten to undercarriage with wire or cable tie	On vehicles with fire extinguishing system. Installation:  Ensure that the electrical wiring harness to the rear fire extinguishing system temperature sensor (B65/1) is routed free of tension and with no sharp bends or points at which it will chafe so as to prevent inadvertent activation of the fire extinguishing system.
10	Remove rear underbody protection plate (3)	Secure rear underbody protection plate (3) against falling down. Installation:  On vehicles with fire extinguishing system, ensure that the electric wiring harness to the rear fire extinguishing system temperature sensor (B65/1) is not pinched so as to prevent inadvertent activation of the fire extinguishing system. 11	Install in the reverse order
