	Drain
	Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel and risk of injury  to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel	No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Only pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.	AS47.00-Z-0001-01A
	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Drain right chamber (4) of fuel tank (1)
1	Open fuel filler flap and remove filler cap
2	Open latch (2) and remove	If the fuel tank (1) is completely full a small amount of fuel will escape.
3	Pump fuel out of the fuel tank (1) from the right chamber (4) using an extraction hose in a safety container	To prevent electrostatic charging, the extraction device must be grounded! Only the right chamber (4) of the fuel tank (1) will be emptied! Observe manufacturer's operating instructions and notes.

4	Remove fuel pump	Vehicles with diesel engine	AR47.20-P-5710SXI
		Vehicles with gasoline engine	AR47.20-P-5710SX
5	Move extraction hose (5) through the right chamber (4) forward into the left chamber (3) of the fuel tank (1)	Handle extraction hose (5) carefully in order to avoid damage to the components installed in the fuel tank (1).
6	Pump fuel out of the fuel tank (1) from the right chamber (4) using a safety container	To prevent electrostatic charging, the extraction device must be grounded! Observe manufacturer's operating instructions and notes.

	Fill
9	Pump fuel through filler neck into fuel tank (1)	To prevent electrostatic charging, the extraction device must be grounded!
10	Mount filler cap and close fuel filler flap
	Checking
	Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. 11	Carry out an engine test run and check fuel system for leaks with engine running
