	On vehicles which are equipped with a spare tire with collapsible tire, the spare tire with collapsible tire is only available as a ready assembled unit. The spare tire with collapsible tire can only be replaced complete. If the spare wheel with collapsible tire is damaged, remove the collapsible tire and dispose of it and the disk wheel separately.
1	Carefully unscrew valve element from valve (1) or valve body (2) and deflate tire	On vehicles where the tire was filled with TIREFIT tire sealant, any remaining TIREFIT tire sealant fluid must be collected in a suitable way when deflating the tire.
2	Remove wheel balance weight (3) and any other wheel balance weights that have been fitted
3	Position bead breaker shovel of tire mounting device opposite valve (1) or valve body (2) on tire bead	Do not position on the tire side wall but on the raised bead flank, otherwise the carcass will be damaged. On vehicles with code (475) Tire pressure monitor (Siemens), do not damage the TPM wheel sensor (5) with the bead breaker shovel. Tire mounting device
4	Pry off the tire on the inside and outside over the safety hump of the disc wheel.
5	Clamp disk wheel on tire mounting device. Moisten flange of disk wheel and tire beads with mounting paste. Align the mounting head at a small distance (X, Y) from the disk wheel	Only use mounting paste to remove the tires.

6	Position disk wheel so that valve (1) or valve body (2) is approx. 10 cm in front of mounting head, when viewed in direction of rotation of tire mounting device
7	Lever tire bead with an assembly lever over the assembly lug and pull off the tire	On vehicles with code (475) Tire pressure monitor (Siemens), do not damage the TPM wheel sensor (5).
	Checking
8	Checking condition of rim	Clean the disk wheel if necessary; when doing so, do not allow the TPM wheel sensor (5) (if present) to come into contact with compressed air, solvents or cleaners.	AR40.10-P-1010-01A
9	Check TPM wheel sensor (5), valve body (2) and rubber seal (6) for damage	Only on vehicles with code (475) Tire pressure monitor (Siemens). Do not  remove the TPM wheel sensor (5) for testing. Remove dirt from the TPM wheel sensor (5) using a clean, lint-free cloth only. Do not  retighten the mounting bolt (4) (internal Torx bolt) and the union nut (7). Replace the TPM wheel sensor (5) if: the mounting bolt (4) or union nut (7) of the TPM wheel sensor (5) is visibly loose. the TPM wheel sensor (5) is visibly damaged. the TPM wheel sensor (5) is more then 7 years old according to the manufacture date (8). TIREFIT tire sealant has been used.

10	Check tires	Only on tires that are obviously undamaged and are intended for further use.

	Attaching
11	Replace valve (1) and remove valve element	Only vehicles without tire pressure monitor (Siemens).
12	Moisten rim flange and tire beads with mounting paste and align mounting head at a short distance (X, Y) from disk wheel	Only use mounting paste when fitting tires.

13	Place tire obliquely on disk wheel and pull on over the rim flange using the tire mounting device	On vehicles with code (475) Tire pressure monitor (Siemens), position the disk wheel with the TPM wheel sensor (5) so that the TPM wheel sensor (5) is approx. 180° opposite the mounting head. Do not apply compressive force to the TPM wheel sensor (5), otherwise it will be damaged. Note running direction for unidirectional tires. Put as little stress as possible on bead area. 14	Align match points of tire and disk wheel, remove disk wheel with tire from tire mounting device
15	Inflate tire to 3 bar max.	Inflate tire without valve element. The tire must slide evenly over the safety bead seat of the disk wheel, otherwise coat the tire beads again with mounting paste. Ensure that the tire is seated evenly along the disk circumference.

16	Screw valve element quickly into valve (1) or valve body (2) and tighten	On vehicles with code (475) Tire pressure monitor (Siemens), only use a genuine, corrosion-resistant (nickel-plated) valve element.
17	Adjust tire inflation pressure to the specified value	Note vehicle tire inflation information (e.g. on fuel filler flap). On vehicles with code (475) Tire pressure monitor (Siemens), only use valve caps made of plastic.
