Empty/fill AdBlue tank - AR14.40-P-2014-02GZB

    DRAINING:

  1. Attach rear apron protector and expose AdBlue® container in the loading or trunk.
  2. Unscrew cover (1) for the AdBlue® filler neck (2).
  3. Open AdBlue® filler neck (2).
  4. Cover a large area around AdBlue® filler neck (2) with a clean, antistatic film (3) (for example seat savers).
  5. Introduce intake hose for extraction pump (4) in AdBlue® filler neck (2) and suction off AdBlue®.
    IMPORTANT: Secure extraction pump (4) against falling down. Otherwise damage will occur. Additionally, observe arrow on the extraction pump (4) for direction of suction!
  6. Pull intake hose for extraction pump (4) out of the AdBlue® filler neck (2) and flush out extraction pump (4) with water.
    IMPORTANT: Always rinse out extraction pump (4) with water. Otherwise damage will occur.

    7. FILLING: 

    The filling tools are designed in such a way as to leave an unfilled space in the AdBlue® container after switching off. Never  pour in additional AdBlue® after switching off. There is a risk of damage occurring to the AdBlue® container otherwise!

    Filling the pump from a large container:

  7. Insert nozzle (5) for electrical pump unit in the AdBlue® filler neck (2) right up to the stop ring (6).
  8. Fill AdBlue® container.
    NOTE: The nozzle (5) switches off automatically when the AdBlue® container is full.
  9. Remove nozzle (5) from AdBlue® filler neck (2).

    10. Hose filling from small container:

  10. Mount fitting (01), close valve (02) and connection (03) onto AdBlue® filler neck (2) and connection (04) onto container (05) finger-tight.
  11. Fill the AdBlue® container by lifting the container (05) and opening the valve (02).
    NOTE: Repeat process if necessary with further containers (05). No further AdBlue® will flow when the AdBlue® container is full.
  12. Close valve (02) and detach connections (03, 04).

    13. Bottle filling:

  13. Remove cap and screw AdBlue® bottle (8) finger-tight onto the AdBlue® filler neck (2).
  14. Fill AdBlue® container by pressing AdBlue® bottle (8) downwards.
    NOTE: Repeat process if necessary with further AdBlue® bottles (8). No further AdBlue® will flow when the AdBlue® container is full.
  15. Unscrew AdBlue® bottle (8) from AdBlue® filler neck (2) and dispose of it.
  16. Remove film (3).
    IMPORTANT: Do not allow any contamination in the AdBlue® container. There is a risk of damage occurring to the AdBlue® (A103/2) delivery module otherwise.
  17. Close AdBlue® filler neck (2).
  18. Remove rest of the AdBlue® with clean, lint-free rags.
    IMPORTANT: Use clean, lint-free rag only. Failure of the emission control system can occur otherwise.
  19. Screw on cover (1) for the AdBlue® filler neck (2).
  20. Install exposed detachable parts over the AdBlue® container in the cargo area or trunk and remove rear apron protector.
