	Check and adjust
1	Deactivate easy entry/exit	Otherwise the driver seat and steering wheel move into a different position if the driver door is opened or closed for example. Damage to the upper frame can occur when the retainer (1) is installed.	AR54.30-P-1000-02GZ
2	Move steering wheel all the way up and all the way out	The lever for steering wheel adjustment is under the steering wheel on the left. This is necessary in order to install the retainer (1) correctly.
3	Fix steering wheel in center position	Retainer	Fig 4
4	Check center position of steering gear and steering wheel
5	Install wheel spreader (2).	Install wheel spreader (2) at the front on the inside of the wheel. The elastic bearings of the spring control arms, torque struts and steering linkage produce a correspondingly large toe measurement which decreases to the correct value under driving conditions.

6	Adjust toe	To do this, slacken the lock nuts (4) on both sides and twist the tie rod (3) as necessary.
