Remove/install injection valves (ME-SFI) - AR07.03-P-6520GZS (ML63 AMG)

	Remove/install
	Risk of explosion caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel and risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel.	No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.	AS47.00-Z-0001-01A

1	Open engine hood and raise to vertical position	Model 164	AR88.40-P-1000GZ

2	Remove the partition wall between the wheelhouses	Only model 251.	AR62.30-P-2400RT
3	Remove air filter housing	Do not tilt front engine cover, but lift upwards vertically otherwise the retaining lugs can break off.	AR09.10-P-1150GZS
4	Remove fuel distributor rail (1) together with fuel injectors		AR07.03-P-1451GZS
5	Remove clamp (7) from fuel injection valve (Y62) and fuel distributor rail (1)
6	Remove fuel injection valves (Y62) from fuel distributor rail (1)	Inspect sealing rings (13) for damage and replace if required, otherwise leaks may occur. Installation: Observe correct seating of the fuel injection valves (Y62) in the fuel distributor rail (1). Installation: The clamp (7) must get locked in the square catch (arrow) at the fuel injection valves (Y62). Installation: Wet sealing ring (13) slightly with liquid lubricant before assembly.

7	Install in the reverse order
	Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. 8	Carry out engine test run and check fuel system for leaks	In the event of oil loss, determine and eliminate the cause; otherwise, there may be malfunctions and damage to the engine as well as the environment.
