Remove/install tumble flap and resonance flap switchover valve at intake manifold - AR09.20-P-1990GZD (ML350, ML550, GL450, GL550)

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1 Remove air filter housing   AR09.10-P-1150GZA 
2 Remove the resonance intake manifold (7)   AR09.20-P-1961GZA 
3 Pull pneumatic line (1 or 2) out of switchover valve (Y22/6 or Y22/9) NOTES Never use pointed or sharp tools to remove the pneumatic line (1 or 2), otherwise these may be damaged.
INSPECTInstallation:  Check pneumatic line (1 or 2) for damage and replace if necessary.
 
4 Remove lock washer (3 or 4) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Replace lock washer (3 or 4).  
5 Disconnect the electrical connector (X205) at the switchover valve (Y22/6 or Y22/9)    
6 Remove switchover valve (Y22/6 or Y22/9) from resonance intake manifold (7)    
7 Install in the reverse order    
INSPECT Checking     
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the running engine Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.

8 Carry out an engine test run and check the intake tract and fuel system for leaks
