Location

The charge air cooler is located at the front under the radiator.

Task

The charge air cooler cools the incoming intake air. This improves the fill level in the cylinder.

Design

The charge air cooler consists of 2 side-mounted air intake cases with connections and the radiator block which contains the corrugated rib-pipe-system.

Function

During the charging process the charge air is led through the charge air cooler. The air stream present in driving mode which flows through the corrugated rib-pipe-system cools off the charge air.
