Retrofit AMG tailpipe - AZ49.10-P-0002GZ

REMOVING Removal    
NOTES A condition for using the end orifice tube is that the work described is carried out in full. IMPORTANT In the Federal Republic of Germany after the modification, a change acceptance is required by an officially recognized expert or inspector from a technical test point for motor vehicle traffic or by a test engineer from an officially recognized supervisory organization.  
REFER TO FORMS Installation or attachment of exhaust end orifice tubes, certificate Model 164.120 /122 /128 /175 /186 * For Germany only -
1.1 Remove standard end orifice tube IMPORTANT Only model 164.175 and vehicles with code (900) Exterior chrome package.  
2.1 Remove exhaust system as of flange connection IMPORTANT Only vehicles without code (900) Exterior chrome package.
IMPORTANT Only remove the exhaust rubber mounts in the outside and inside at the rear mufflers and lower exhaust system.		  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   With engine 272.967 AR49.10-P-7280GZ 
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   - -
3.1 Check suspension parts for reusability IMPORTANT Only vehicles without code (900) Exterior chrome package.
IMPORTANT Replace parts if necessary.		  
4.1 Cut exhaust pipe of standard exhaust system IMPORTANT Only vehicles without code (900) Exterior chrome package.
IMPORTANT Measured from middle of weld, mark at the pipe diameter change point and cut through at the cutting line (see Illustration 1, picture on the left).
Dimension A: 70 mm.		  
INSTALLING Install     
5.1 Place AMG end orifice tube (3) on shortened standard end pipe and align IMPORTANT Only vehicles without code (900) Exterior chrome package.
IMPORTANT Tighten grub screw with tip (2) and remove securing screw (1).		  
6.1 Mark bore for securing screw (1) and drill IMPORTANT Only vehicles without code (900) Exterior chrome package.
IMPORTANT Make marking for bore in the standard end pipe using a suitable means (see arrow in Illustration 1, picture on the right).
IMPORTANT Diameter of bore:
Dimension d: 8.5 mm diameter.		  
7 Out on AMG end orifice tube (3), align and fix in place IMPORTANT Tighten securing screw (1) and grub screw with tip (2) (see Illustration 2).  
8.1 Install exhaust system as of flange connection IMPORTANT Only vehicles without code (900) Exterior chrome package.  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   With engine 272.967 AR49.10-P-7280GZ
