Empty fuel tank on systems with faulty fuel pumps - AR47.10-P-4000GZH (with Gas-tight fuel tank)

  Drain    
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel and risk of injury  to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Only pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing when handling fuel. AS47.00-Z-0001-01A 
1 Connect ground line of vacuum unit to vehicle ground    
  Drain right chamber (2R) of fuel tank (A)     
2 Open fuel filler flap and filler cap    
3 Push end of the extraction hose (1) through filler neck and push filler pipe into right chamber (2R) of the fuel tank Only use the following extraction hose (1) otherwise there is threat of damage to the non-return throttle valve (3) and extraction hose (1):

Only this extraction hose (1) can be taken out of the filler pipe again due to its special form! Rubber or plastic hoses can get stuck on the non-return throttle valve (3)!
If the prescribed extraction hose (1) was not used unintentionally: Do not use any great force when pulling out the extraction hose (1).  Open non-return throttle valve (3) by hand and have the extraction hose (1) pulled out of the filler pipe by an assistant by: ↓

4 Pump off fuel using a tank emptying device Use safety container to catch the fuel; observe filling capacity of the safety container.
IMPORTANT Only the right chamber (2R) of the fuel tank will be emptied!
 
  Drain left chamber (2L) of fuel tank (B)     
5 Remove locating cover (4)   AR47.20-P-5710GZH 
6 Pull extraction hose (1) out of filler neck and push over right chamber (2R) into the left chamber (2L) of the fuel tank IMPORTANT Handle extraction hose (1) carefully in order to avoid damage to the components installed in the fuel tank!  
7 Pump off fuel from left chamber (2L) of the fuel tank using a tank emptying device    
  Check and fill     
8 Pull out extraction hose (1) from right chamber (2R) of fuel tank    
9 Mount locating cover (4)   AR47.20-P-5710GZH 
10 Inspect fuel system for leaks   AP47.00-P-4750TZV 
11 Push extraction hose (1) into filler neck    
12 Pump fuel into fuel tank    
13 Pull extraction hose (1) out of filler neck; close fuel filler flap and tank cap    
14 Disconnect ground line of tank emptying device from vehicle ground
