Remove/install air shutoff valve - AR14.30-P-7200GZS (ML63 AMG)

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, tailgates or sliding roof. Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1 Switch ignition off, remove ignition key (transmitter key). IMPORTANT On vehicles with Keyless Go, code 889: Press Keyless Go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off. Remove keyless go transmitter card or transmitter key from vehicle and store outside of transmission range (min. 2 m)  
2 Open engine hood Model 164 AR88.40-P-1000GZ
    Model 251 AR88.40-P-1000RT
3 Remove front engine cover NOTES Do not tilt front engine cover, but lift upwards vertically otherwise the retaining lugs can break off.  
  Right aspirator shutoff valve     
4 Detach pneumatic line (2) and air hose (3) from right air shutoff valve (1) NOTES Do not use pointed or sharp-edged tools to remove pneumatic line (2) and air hose (3), otherwise these will be damaged.
INSPECTInstallation:  Check pneumatic line (2) and air hose (3) for damage, replace if required.		  
5 Loosen expansion reservoir for steering and place to one side   AR46.25-P-1000GZS
6 Unscrew bolt (4) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA14.30-P-1002-03B 
7 Remove air line (5) from right air shutoff valve (1)    
8 Remove screws (6) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA14.30-P-1001-03B 
9 Remove right air shutoff valve (1) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Replace seal.  
  Left air shutoff valve     
10 Detach pneumatic line (10) and air hose (3) from left shutoff valve (11) NOTES Do not use pointed or sharp-edged tools to remove pneumatic line (10) and air hose (3), otherwise these will be damaged.
INSPECTInstallation:  Check pneumatic line (10) and air hose (3) for damage, replace if required.		  
11 Remove air pump switchover valve (7)   AR14.30-P-7255GZS 
12 Remove bolts (8) and lay vacuum unit (9) for variable intake manifold to one side    
13 Remove screw (12) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA14.30-P-1002-03B 
14 Remove air line (13) from left air shutoff valve (11)    
15 Remove screws (14) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA14.30-P-1001-03B 
16 Remove left air shutoff valve (11) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Replace seal.  
17 Install in the reverse order    
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.		 AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
18 Carry out engine test run
