Measure piston ring end clearance - AR03.10-P-7311-02VT

  1. Clean cylinder wall.
  2. Insert the two compression rings one after the other into the unworn area of the cylinder barrel and measure the end gap with a COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS feeler gauge.

    IMPORTANT If the end gap is beyond the permissible tolerance, replace the compression rings.

    IMPORTANT The gap clearance of the oil scraper ring cannot be checked because of its three-part design. The oil scraper ring must also be replaced when the compression rings are replaced.
