- Clean cylinder wall.
- Insert the two compression rings one after the other into the unworn area of the cylinder barrel and measure the end gap with a
feeler gauge.
If the end gap is beyond the permissible tolerance, replace the compression rings.
The gap clearance of the oil scraper ring cannot be checked because of its three-part design. The oil scraper ring must also be replaced when the compression rings are replaced.
