Number Designation Engine 156
BE03.10-P-1002-05D Piston ring end gap Groove 1 mm 0.2 to 0.35

  1. Clean cylinder wall.
  2. Insert both compression rings, one after the other, above running surface in the cylinder bore, and measure end gap with a COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS feeler gauge; replace piston rings if necessary.

IMPORTANT The end gap of the oil scraper ring cannot be measured because of its three-part design. The oil scraper ring must also be replaced when the compression rings are replaced.
