Remove/install oil sensor - AR18.40-P-5112GZ (ML500)

	Remove/Install
	Risk of injury caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof.	When moving components, ensure that no body parts or limbs are within the operating range of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1	Open engine hood		AR88.40-P-1000GZ
	Risk of death cased by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
2	Raise vehicle.		AR00.60-P-1000GZ
3	Remove lower engine compartment paneling	Installation: Install engine compartment paneling only after the engine test run.	AR61.20-P-1105GZ
4	Drain engine oil	Installation: Replace sealing ring of oil drain plug, see: ↓
		Engine oil and filter change	AP18.00-P-0101GZ

5	Detach electrical connector (1) from oil sensor (oil level, temperature and quality) (B40)
6	Unscrew bolts (2) and take oil sensor (oil level, temperature and quality) (B40) out of oil pan	Installation: Replace sealing ring of oil sensor (oil level, temperature and quality) (B40).

7	Install in the reverse order
	Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns when working in engine during starting procedure	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. 8	Conduct engine test run and check the engine for leaks
