1 Activate service mode in Telematic Alarm Identification on Demand (emergency call system) (TELE AID) IMPORTANT Only on model 463.243/244/245/250/309/322/323/332/333 with code (ET2) Tele-Aid -car telephone emergency call system, 463.247/248/254/270 up to 1.04.07 with code (ET2) TeleAid car telephone emergency call system AR82.95-P-0005-03GR

DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A

3 Remove glove compartment IMPORTANT Required for routing cables correctly. AR68.10-P-1400GM
4 Remove cover below dashboard   AR68.10-P-1520GM
5 Unscrew nut (1)    
6 Unscrew nut (2)    
7 Remove front signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) (N10/1) IMPORTANT Pull down and out of the dashboard.
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Ensure the cables are correctly routed otherwise this may cause problems when installing.
 
8 Disconnect electrical connectors (3, 4) from front signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) (N10/1) IMPORTANT Mark the installation position of the electrical connectors (3, 4). For disconnecting the electrical connector (3, 4) see: ↓  
    Disconnecting lines from control units and fuse and relay boxes
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Note marking. Connect the electrical connectors (3, 4); see: ↓
AR54.18-P-1261-01P 
    Connecting cables to control units and fuse and relay boxes. AR54.18-P-1261-02P 
9 Install in the reverse order    
10 Deactivate service mode in TELE AID IMPORTANT Only on model 463.243/244/245/250/309/322/323/332/333 with code (ET2) Tele-Aid -car telephone emergency call system, 463.247/248/254/270 up to 1.04.07 with code (ET2) TeleAid car telephone emergency call system AR82.95-P-0005-03GR

11 Read out fault memory and erase IMPORTANT STAR DIAGNOSIS Stored faults which can result from cables being disconnected or from simulation during removal and installation or test work, have to be processed and erased in the fault memories after completing the work.  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
12 Perform basic programming   AR00.19-P-0200P
