Remove/install main audio components - AR82.60-P-7605T

MODEL 211.0 up to 1.6.08 except CODE (809) Model year 2009

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1 Transfer basic data for audio gateway control unit (N93/1) to STAR DIAGNOSIS When replacing the audio gateway control unit (N93/1).
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Transfer basic data from STAR DIAGNOSIS to the audio gateway control unit (N93/1).
 
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2 Release SAM control unit with fuse and relay box in luggage compartment and place to one side with lines attached   AR54.21-P-1258T
3 Remove pressurized-type reservoir for dynamic seat control Only in vehicles with code (433) Left dynamic seat, incl. multicontour seat or with code (434) Right dynamic seat, incl. multicontour seat AR91.25-P-1570T
4 Unclip bracket (6) and place wiring harness (8) to one side Only in vehicles with code (881) Remote trunk closing (RTC [HDFS]).  
5 Remove expansion rivet (7) and remove cover (5) Only in vehicles with code (881) Remote trunk closing (RTC [HDFS]).  
6 Unclip TLC [HDS] control unit (N121) from bracket and place to one side with lines attached Only in vehicles with code (881) Remote trunk closing (RTC [HDFS]).  
7 Remove bolts (1)    
8 Unscrew nuts (2)    
9 Pull audio gateway control unit (N93/1) out until the electrical plug connections at the audio gateway control unit (N93/1) are accessible    
10 Unplug electrical plug sockets on audio gateway control unit (N93/1)    
11 Disconnect fiber optic cable connector from audio gateway control unit (N93/1) NOTES To avoid damaging the fiber optic cable, do not kink fiber optic cable, route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm.  
12 Cover fiber optic cable   AR82.95-P-0005-01A 
13 Remove nuts (3) and remove audio gateway control unit (N93/1) from bracket (4) Only when replacing the audio gateway control unit (N93/1).  
14 Install in the reverse order
