Inspect cooling system for leaks - AR20.00-P-1010TS

REMOVING Removing     
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
AS20.00-Z-0001-01A 
1 Switch on ignition    
2 Adjust heater to maximum heat output    
3 Unscrew cap (1) on expansion reservoir (2) IMPORTANT Slowly unscrew cap and reduce the excess pressure.  
4 Check coolant level and antifreeze content of coolant. IMPORTANT If the antifreeze content of the coolant is too low, either antifreeze must be added or the coolant must be replaced. ↓  
    Drain coolant, fill. AR20.00-P-1142TS 
5 SPECIAL TOOL Screw test cap (3) onto expansion reservoir (2) SPECIAL TOOL *210589009100
6 SPECIAL TOOL Connect pressure pump (4) SPECIAL TOOL at test cap (3) SPECIAL TOOL *124589242100
7 Apply test pressure to cooling system NOTES To prevent damage to the cooling system, do not exceed the stated test pressure *BE20.30-P-1005-01A 
INSPECT Checking     
8 Inspect condition and installation at hose clamps; retighten or replace if necessary COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS 6 mm socket hexagon on flexible shaft for hose clamps with worm drive *WH58.30-Z-1001-06A 
    COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS 7 mm socket hexagon on flexible shaft for hose clips with worm drive *WH58.30-Z-1002-06A 
9 Check coolant hoses and heater hoses and their connecting points for condition and coolant loss IMPORTANT Replace coolant hoses and heater hoses if required.  
INSTALLING Install     
10 SPECIAL TOOL Screw test cap (3) onto expansion reservoir (2) IMPORTANTSPECIAL TOOL Slowly unscrew the test cap (3) and reduce the excess pressure.  
11 SPECIAL TOOL Remove pressure pump (4)    
12 Screw cap (1) onto expansion reservoir (2)    
13 Switch off ignition
