	Remove/install
	Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel and risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel.	No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.	AS47.00-Z-0001-01A
	Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, tailgates or sliding roof.	Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1	Open engine hood and raise to vertical position	Model 209	AR88.40-P-1000Q

2	Remove air filter housing		AR09.10-P-1150TMG
3	Unscrew cap (9) from service valve
4	Reduce fuel pressure with the pressure hose via the service valve	Collect fuel in a suitable container.	AR07.03-P-1460-01TMG

5	Detach fuel line from fuel distributor rail (1)	Allow escaping fuel to drain into a suitable container.

6	Remove the electrical connectors at the fuel injection valves (Y62)
7	Disconnect electrical connectors at fuel distributor rail (1)
8	Remove bolts (8) on fuel distributor rail (1)	Replace O-rings of the fuel injection valves (Y62). Apply liquid lubricant to the O-rings.

9	Lift fuel distributor rail (1) and fuel injection valves (Y62) from intake manifold (22)	Check sealing ring (12) for damage and replace if required. Wet the sealing ring (12) with liquid lubricant before inserting fuel injection valves (Y62).

10	Check fuel injection valves (Y62) with STAR DIAGNOSIS	STAR DIAGNOSIS, diagnosis system
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
		If necessary: ↓
		Replace fuel injection valves	AR07.03-P-6520TMG
11	Install in the reverse order
	Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the running engine	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
12	Carry out engine test run and check fuel system for leaks	In the event of oil loss determine and eliminate cause, otherwise malfunctions, transmission damage, and serious environmental pollution may occur.
