Remove/install lamp unit - AR82.10-P-4730TX

MODEL 219.3

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1.1 Switch off the ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EZS control unit On vehicles with code (615) Bi-xenon headlamp unit with integrated curve illumination
IMPORTANT On vehicles with code (889) Keyless go: Press keyless go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off. Remove the transmitter key from the vehicle and store at a location that is beyond the transmitter range (at least 2 m).
 
2.1 Remove front section of fender liner in left or right front fender If the left front lamp unit (E1) or the right front lamp unit (E2) is removed separately. AR88.10-P-1310TX
3.1 Remove front bumper (1). If the left front lamp unit (E1) and right front lamp unit (E2) are removed together. AR88.20-P-2000TX
3.2 Detach front bumper (1). If the left front lamp unit (E1) or the right front lamp unit (E2) is removed separately.
IMPORTANT When removing the left front lamp unit (E1), detach the front bumper (1) on the left side of the vehicle. When removing the right front lamp unit (E2), detach the front bumper (1) on the right side of the vehicle.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Adjust gap dimensions on front bumper (1). See: ↓

4.1 Attach adhesive tape (2), as shown, to front bumper (1) If the left front lamp unit (E1) or the right front lamp unit (E2) is removed separately.
IMPORTANT Adhesive tape (2) for protection against damage to front bumper (1).
 
5.1 Remove bolt (3) and unhook telescopic nozzle (4) from left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2) For vehicles with code (600) Headlamp cleaning system
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Ensure that the telescopic nozzle (4) on the left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2) is seated correctly.
 
6 Remove bolts (5) and pull the left front lamp unit (E1) or the right front lamp unit (E2) as far forward as possible until the electrical connectors on the rear of the left front lamp unit (E1) or the right front lamp unit (E2) are accessible    
7 Detach electrical connectors from rear of left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2) IMPORTANT There are two electrical connectors each on the rear of the left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2).  
8 Install in the reverse order    
9 Check adjustment of left front lamp unit (E1), right front lamp unit (E2), left front fog lamp and right front fog lamp, correct if necessary    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Check and correct headlamp adjustment   AP82.10-P-8260TX
