	Removing
	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1	Hoist vehicle with lifting platform until wheels are free
2	Pull off wheel covers	Vehicles with wheel covers
3	Unscrew wheel bolts and remove wheel-and-tire assemblies		Fig 2
	Checking
4	Check tires for damage and condition, measure tread depth and note down measurements on maintenance sheet		AP40.10-P-4051CW

5	Clean and check wheel bolt connection components, then protect against corrosion	Before mounting a wheel-and-tire assembly all the operation steps listed in the linked description must be conducted carefully. 	Install
6	Change round wheel-and-tire assemblies on front and rear axles	As required, and only on vehicles without mixed tires Maintain running direction of wheel-and-tire assemblies. Otherwise handling characteristics and handling comfort may be impaired and tire wear increased.
7	Mount wheel-and-tire assembly and tighten wheel bolts	Observe the tightening sequence (1 to 5) and tightening torque.

9	Correct tire pressure for all wheel-and-tire assemblies	In the event of tire pressure loss, establish cause and replace valve, tire or rim: ↓ Replace tire:	AR40.10-P-1030CW

11.1	Activate the tire pressure monitoring system	With CODE 470 (Tire pressure monitor (Basis)) or with CODE 475 (Tire pressure monitor (Schrader)) Only for wheel-and-tire assembly change, tire replacement or a change in tire pressure. Restart tire pressure monitor:	AR54.30-P-1000-02RAT
11.2	Activate tire pressure loss warner	Except CODE 470 (Tire pressure monitor (standard)) and except CODE 475 (Tire pressure monitor) Only for wheel-and-tire assembly change, tire replacement or a change in tire pressure.
