Remove/install pedal assembly (with transmission 716.6) - AR29.10-P-0300V

	Remove/Install
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	-
	Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury  caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes.	Pour brake fluid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.	-

1	Raise vehicle with lifting platform		AR00.60-P-1000V
2	Remove the rear part of the engine compartment paneling	Installation:  Only install the rear section of the engine compartment paneling after the leak test.	AR61.20-P-1105V
3	Remove cover (1) from transmission and open bleed screw on central clutch release bearing	Collect brake fluid which escapes in a suitable container.
4	Operate the clutch pedal several times	To empty the components of the clutch and therefore prevent brake fluid running into the passenger compartment.
5	Detach feed line (6a) on brake fluid expansion reservoir	The feed line (6a) must not be pinched off with clamping devices or pliers otherwise it will be damaged.	AR25.20-P-0100-01V
6	Remove left cover below instrument panel	Installation:  Only install the cover after the leak test.	AR68.10-P-1500V
7	Remove clutch pedal switch (S40/3)		AR25.20-P-0095V
8	Remove front cover (2) of the pedal assembly (3)		AR29.10-P-0320V
9	Detach safety clamp (4a) and pull out bolt (4b)	Check bolt (4b) for damage and wear, replace if necessary.
		Installation:  Grease bolt (4b) lightly. Long-life grease	*BR00.45-Z-1001-06A
10	Remove safety clamp (5a) of pressure line (5)	Installation:  replace O-ring (5b).
11	Unscrew nuts (3a)	Nut, pedal assembly to body	*BA29.10-P-1001-02D
12	Remove pedal assembly (3)
13	Detach feed line (6a) from master cylinder (6)	Installation:  Replace gasket (6b).	AR25.20-P-0100-01V
14	Take out pedal assembly (3)
15.1	Remove rear cover (7) of pedal assembly (3)	When replacing the pedal assembly (3) or when removing pedals or the master cylinder (6)	AR29.10-P-0320V
16	Install in the reverse order
17	Bleed clutch operating system		AR25.20-P-0070V
	Check
18	Check the clutch operator for proper operation and leaktightness
