Removing and installing front brake control cable - AR42.20-P-0520V: Notes

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. -
NOTES Notes on repairs to brake system   AH42.00-P-0003-01A 
1 Release parking brake    
2 Hoist vehicle with lifting platform until wheels are free   AR00.60-P-1000V
3 Unclip the rear parking brake cable (86) from the front parking brake cable (85)   AR42.20-P-0520-03VH 
    SPECIAL TOOL Snap-release tool Figure
4 Remove parking brake lever (75)   AR42.20-P-0500V 
5 Unhook the front parking brake cable (85) at the parking brake lever (75)   AR42.20-P-0520-03VV 
6 Remove the front parking brake cable (85) downwards    
7 Install in the reverse order    
8 Operate parking brake lever (75) several times    
INSPECT Check     
9 Check operating travel of parking brake lever (75) and unobstructed movement of the rear wheels Number of notches at which the parking brake must be adjusted if up to that point there is insufficient braking effect
IMPORTANT When the parking brake is not operated it must be possible to rotate the rear wheels completely freely by hand, if necessary: ↓
