	Check
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	-
	Risk of injury caused by moving parts that can pinch, crush or  , in extreme cases even sever  extremities.	Keep all body parts and limbs away from moving mechanical components.	-
1	Turn key in EIS [EZS] control unit to position "0"
2	Raise vehicle with lifting platform
	Lift/jack up vehicle		AR00.60-P-1000V
	Check
3	Check tie rod joint (10a) of right and left tie rod (10)	Check tie rod joint (10a) for play by pulling and pushing firmly, install new tie rod joint (10a) if there is play: ↓
		Remove/install tie rod	AR46.40-P-0200V
4	Check rubber boot (10b) of right and left tie rod joint (10a)	Check rubber boot (10b) for leaks and condition, install new tie rod joint (10a) if necessary:
		↓
		Remove/install tie rod	AR46.40-P-0200V
5	Check left and right bellows (10c)	Do not check bellows (10c) by pressing in or around raised beads as this leads to damage to the plastic and thus to leaks. Stretch bellows (10c) by turning the steering to the left and right and check for cracks, dents, and chafing marks. If damage is present: ↓
		Install new bellows (10c).	AR46.40-P-0400V
6	Check play (a) at steering wheel	The vehicle must be on its wheels. If the play (a) is still excessive despite previous performing work steps, check steering coupling (25) for damage and play. If necessary:	*BE46.00-P-1001-01A
		↓
		Install new steering coupling (25).	AR46.10-P-8000V
